Remember, just because you have the feeling of pain in your muscles, doesn't mean it isn't your joints. For that matter, it could be neither. It could be pinched nerves that make you feel like you have pain in your muscles. When this happens you should keep checking your shoulder joints, elbows, etc., for redness and fever, just like you probably noticed with your foot when you had gout in it. Have you been seen by a neurologist? Maybe you should check into that.

Arthritis is inflammation in the joints, not the muscles.

Definetely seek another opinion...not just of your physician, but also of your physical therapist. 18 is too young to get caught up in the system.

GO see a second doctor...

as it certainly wouldn't hurt as the second doctor may pick up on something that the first doctor didn't.

lower back pain . isn't always about an injury.

If you can find the right one, a chiropractor should be able to help with lower back pain. Sometimes acupuncture can help too. Going for a walk every day can help. These are the things that have helped me with my lower back pain. I know people who do Yoga and get relief. Good luck.

I agree with Mistify, do seek other opinions in PT and maybe a physician. I was wondering what your therapy consisted of? Did you try aquatics? Have you since gained weight and are you now more out of shape then you were 3 years ago? 2 Years of PT is a long time. Was all of it with one provider?

Excedrin migraine works for me. Take it with food. It works in just 10 minutes. I would never go anywhere without it in the event of a migraine attack. It works wonders for me.
